UK Mobile TV/Video Report

The 2012 Market Tools survey conducted by Redshift Research for Quickplay found live sports content drives sustained increase in mobile video consumption. Over 84% of UK mobile subscribers between the ages of 18-44 who watched a major sporting event on mobile device reported increased mobile video consumption than before.

Key findings of the survey

  • 63 percent reported watching video on a smartphone or tablet compared to 51 percent last year
  • 52 percent watched at least one Olympic event on either a smartphone or tablet
